I have produced many preview magazines for the Craft & Quilt Fairs, which are annual events in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne. In 2018 it was the 25 year anniversary and I was asked to redesign the magazine and highlight the anniversary on the cover. I chose a landscape design in a new smaller format with the logo and 25 year message in a silver foil stamp. The cover included a fold-out, which we used to highlight stories of special interest. The smaller format meant the magazine page count increased, giving it a more substantial feel. The publication included features, activities, exhibitors and a timetable of everything that would be at the event, and was mailed out to around previous show visitors on the database (approximately 20,000 for Sydney). Attention to detail on these magazines is crucial, and they are always fast-paced with tight deadlines.
The below images display two feature stories, a shopping spread and the timetable, which has all the classes and features that will be at the show, as a quick reference spread at the back of the magazine.
